Medication

As most of know it takes time to find the right medicine.  It can be frustrating in dealing with the side effects. I feel as if I am at the end of my journey. (Zyprexa, Efexxor, and Klonopin) However I do miss the late nights.

I would only need a few hours of sleep. I would clean the house, and draw untill the picture is finished. I am now in bed at 9 or 10 pm. I have heard individuals diagnosed with Bipolar stop taking there meds and trying the natual route. If anyone is taking the natural way, what are you taking to help with the depression, highs, lows, hallucinations and psychosis? Do you feel your medication is helping with your diagnosis of mental illness?

Hugs and strength to you all

  1. friend, I take hydrocodone to relieve chronic pain of fibromyalgia, although it is a strong medicine for what I saw in findrxonline.com helps me a lot in reducing the pain I have constantly ..

  2. Emeila.

You are my strength and my reason.

I often feel that you're finding your medication difficult to accept or believe that it's right for you. Every person has their own feelings toward their medication and I'm sure you've written about this before therfore I feel concerned that you're questioning it.

I hope someone who is doing well with the natural method will help soothe your questioning mind and help you to relax. Never to give in - but to relax. You always have my thoughts and hugs. Mart

  3. Emeila, I understand the feeling of your life being controlled by your meds. The odd schedules, feeling out of your body and out of control being on them. You don't feel like YOU. With the onset of your bipolar being diagnosed so late in your life, I'm guessing this must make you feel even more out of place. This in addition with your bipolar symptoms.

I've been on and off medication for 20 years. It has only been in the last 2 years that I got serious about taking care of myself, accepting bipolar and staying on my meds, before I chose other options.

Give yourself some time. Listen to yourself. Trust in who you are. The right choices will come at the right time.

In the words of Paul Owens, The Dog Whisperer, "Don't go too far too fast. It's good for you, it's good for your dog."

I apply this philosphy to my life as much as possible, not just for my dogs. ;)

I know it is not always easy to trust God, but He is there. He is right there. He knows all about you and what you need. Even when He is hard to hear through all the chatter, He is there.
